Bass Trombone, Sydney Symphony Orchestra
Christopher was appointed the Principal Bass Trombone in the Sydney Symphony in 1993 after completing a Bachelor of Performance degree at the Canberra School of Music in 1992. Whilst in America, Chris also attended the Raphael Mendez Brass Institute in Phoenix Arizona. During his tenure he has been the recipient of the Friends of the Sydney Symphony Scholarship to study Contra Bass Trombone in Europe as well as appearing as guest soloist with the Sydney Symphony in 2006 when he premiered the Bass Trombone Concerto by Christopher Gordon. Internationally, he has played with the Hong Kong Philharmonic and New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.
